A 13th-round pick by the Red Sox as a Florida high schooler in 2021, Ehrhard was a catalyst for Oklahoma State as a freshman before slumping while dealing with a hamstring injury last year. He rebounded with a solid summer in the Cape Cod League, then slugged .627 this spring after posting just a .385 mark in his first two seasons. He may have played his way into the top five rounds and concluded his junior year by going 7-for-15 with five doubles and two homers in four NCAA tournament games.

A right-handed hitter, Ehrhard has a disciplined approach with good feel for the barrel. He makes regular contact to all fields and enhances his on-base ability with an eye for drawing walks. After showing little power in the past, he started driving the ball in the air to his pull side more frequently in 2024 and now looks like he'll have double-digit home run power with wood.

Ehrhard has plus speed and basestealing acumen, though he could be more aggressive on the bases. He has refined defensive instincts, covers ground in center field and has average arm strength. He'll profile more as a good fourth outfielder than a regular unless his power continues to develop.

The Red Sox failed to sign Ehrhard as a 13th-rounder from a Florida high school in 2021, then nabbed him with a fourth-round selection in 2024 after his power blossomed during his junior season at Oklahoma State. He reached Double-A six weeks into his first full pro season, then went to Los Angeles along with fellow outfield prospect James Tibbs in a July trade for Dustin May. He batted .272/.374/.439 with 46 extra-base hits and 37 steals in 123 games between High-A and Double-A.

While Ehrhard may be more of a good fourth outfielder than an everyday player, he can do a little bit of everything and his best attribute is getting on base. He controls the strike zone and grinds out at-bats, making consistent hard contact and showing the ability to launch balls in the air to his pull side. The Dodgers believe they can smooth out his right-handed swing and help him unlock some more hitting ability and power. 

Ehrhard has solid speed and good instincts on the bases and in the outfield. He has 41 steals in 46 attempts (89 percent) in 145 pro games and can play all three outfield spots while providing average arm strength. He's at least an average defender in center field and solid on the corners.

After turning down the Red Sox as a 13th-rounder out of a Florida high school in 2021, Ehrhard signed with them last July as a fourth-rounder after three seasons at Oklahoma State. He slugged just .385 in his first two years with the Cowboys before jumping to .627 last spring. He tore up High-A in the first six weeks of his first full pro season, earning a swift promotion to Double-A , then went to the Dodgers along with fellow outfield prospect James Tibbs in a Trade Deadline deal for Dustin May.

Ehrhard's best attribute is his on-base ability, the product of advanced swing decisions and consistent contact to all fields. A right-handed hitter, he has good feel for the barrel and rarely gets fooled at the plate. He began driving the ball in the air to his pull side more often in 2024 and could produce 12-15 homers with 30 or more doubles on an annual basis.

Ehrhard has solid speed and basestealing savvy, and he has been more aggressive on the bases in pro ball than he was in college. He has the quickness and instincts to handle center field, his primary position at Oklahoma State, though he has spent the majority of his time on the corners in the Minors. He has average arm strength and profiles more as a good fourth outfielder than a regular.
