Arias is considered a premium athlete and should have the chance to sport plus tools across the board if he continues to develop at a normal pace. His bat-to-ball skills are advanced for his age, and he has a knack for putting the ball in play. He’s aggressive in the batter’s box and already features a loose and mechanically sound swing.
Overall, the twitchy athlete has a lean body and is expected to add muscle as he matures and his body develops. He has already shown speed potential and could emerge as a threat on the basepaths.
Arias has a chance to become an above-average defender. If all goes according to plan, he projects to provide offensive production at the top of the lineup and solid defense in the outfield. The teen trains with Quico Pena in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

The Guardians annually give their highest international bonus to a player with advanced bat-to-ball skills, and Arias fit that bill when he signed for $1.9 million out of the Dominican Republic in 2024. That's the most Cleveland has paid an international amateur since giving Gabriel E. Rodriguez $2.1 million six years earlier. Arias hit .247/.367/.347 during his pro debut in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League, ranking seventh in steals (29) and eighth in strikeout rate (8 percent).
Arias recognizes pitches and controls the strike zone exceptionally well for an 18-year-old, allowing him to repeatedly find the barrel with a quick if unorthodox left-handed swing. He tends to slightly chop down on the ball, though he had no difficulty pulling pitches or lifting them in the air during DSL play. He'll need a lot of time to develop, but once he gets stronger and makes some adjustments, he could hit for a solid average while providing 15 or more homers per year.
Arias has gotten a little faster since turning pro and now boasts well-above-average speed. He gets good jumps on the bases and in center field, and he definitely should cover enough ground to stay up the middle. He has average strength and gets to balls quickly, making it tough to run on him.

True to form, the Guardians gave the largest bonus in their 2024 international class to a prospect who stands out most with his hitting ability. Arias signed for $1.9 million out of the Dominican Republic, the most Cleveland has paid an international amateur since giving Gabriel Rodriguez $2.1 million in 2018. He'll make his pro debut in the Rookie-level Dominican Summer League.
While Arias doesn't have the most picturesque left-handed stroke, he does have a knack for barreling balls. He's more advanced than most teenagers in terms of recognizing pitches and managing the strike zone. He tends to swing down on the ball, which isn't conducive to hitting for power, but he could have at least 15-homer pop if he gets stronger and makes adjustments.
Arias should be able to handle center field, which will require less power production than if he were destined for an outfield corner. He's a twitchy athlete with solid speed and similar range. His average arm is playable at all three outfield spots.
