Heredia joined the Phillies in the winter of 2021, signing for $300,000, and the early returns were very positive. He played well in the Dominican Summer League in '22 and performed well enough to climb from the Florida Complex League to full-season Clearwater the following year. He struggled with his approach -- and with staying healthy -- in '24, while better production in '25 with High-A Jersey Shore was cut short by a broken pinky. He got off to a solid start, albeit with similar approach issues, with a move to Double-A in '26.

A strong and athletic right-handed-hitting outfielder, Heredia has shown glimpses of using all five tools, with hard contact from the right side of the plate and the ability to get to his power. He improved his bat-to-ball skills in 2025 after having worked with Luis Arraez's hitting guy in the offseason prior, but he'll have to watch his swing-and-miss and chase rates if he wants to keep being productive. 

Heredia isn't a burner and isn't much of a basestealing threat, but the strong and compact outfielder runs better than you might think. He has the kind of plus arm teams like to see in right field, and he continues to get work in both outfield corners. If he can refine his approach at the plate, he might have the offensive profile to fit in one of those spots at the highest level.

Signed at the start of the 2021 international signing period for $300,000, Heredia didn’t debut until 2022, playing reasonably well in the Dominican Summer League. When he played his way from the Florida Complex League to full-season Clearwater in 2023, he put himself on the prospect map, but a loss of his approach and leaping strikeout rate, not to mention an injury that limited him to 70 games in 2024, dampened excitement. He’s missed a chunk of 2025 as well, but better results at the plate have put him back on the radar.

Heredia has strength and athleticism in his 6-foot frame and right-handed swing. He’ll show signs of the ability to use all five tools, with the ability to make hard contact and occasional glimpses of tapping into his raw power. He worked with Luis Arraez’s hitting guy in the offseason, which has clearly helped his bat-to-ball skills, as his strikeout rate dropped when he was on the field in 2025. Though he’s compact and strong, he runs better than you might think.

Heredia’s plus arm works very well from right field, where he’s gotten most of his outfield reps to date, though he’s seen time at all three spots. He played all season at age 21, so there’s still time for him to continue refining his approach, tap into his power, and profile as an athletic run-producing right fielder.

The Phillies signed Heredia for $300,000 not long after the 2021 international signing period, but it wasn’t until 2022 that the organization got to see what he could do. He had a solid debut that summer in the Dominican Summer League, and then he really put himself on the map in the United States for the first time in 2023, going from the Florida Complex League to full-season ball and finishing with a .314/.392/.493 line, making him the most productive member of that signing class to date.

A strong and athletic right-handed hitter, Heredia shows glimpses of all five tools. He can make hard contact and has impressive raw power that he is already showing he can get to. It’s a power-over-hit profile for sure, and he’ll have to cut his strikeout rate as he moves up the ladder and faces better pitching. He runs better than you might think given his strength/power profile.

That speed helps Heredia be a solid defender in an outfield corner, which is where he’ll end up even though he’s seen some time in center early on in his career. His plus arm works from there, and if he can refine his approach, he could develop into that athletic right-field run-producer type.

The Phillies handed out seven bonuses of six figures or higher at the start of the 2020-21 international signing period that opened in January of 2021, headlined by outfielder Yemal Flores and catcher Rickardo Perez. It’s looking like Heredia, signed for $300,000 at the start of the period, has the chance to be the best player from the crop. After a solid but unspectacular season in the Dominican Summer League in 2022, the outfielder came stateside and was one of the better performers in the Florida Complex League.

Strong-bodied and athletic, the 6-foot-2 Heredia is a right-handed hitter with serious juice in his bat. He has the chance to be an average hitter in the future, though he’ll have to cut down on his strikeouts some. He’s already showing an ability to tap into his considerable raw power and the Phillies think he could have plus game power eventually. He’s a solid average runner to boot.

With a plus arm and good defensive instincts, Heredia could grow into being an above-average defender. It’s still more projection than anything, but his FCL performance makes it easy to dream on him being a prototypical athletic run-producing corner outfielder in the big leagues.
