Quinn didn’t pitch on the summer showcase circuit before his senior year because of some minor arm issues, so scouts didn’t get to file follow reports on him. He’s made up for it as a pop-up prospect this spring, showing off his size and two potential plus pitches to put him in position to become just the second player ever drafted from Berkeley Prep in Tampa.

There is plenty of projection in Quinn’s 6-foot-6 frame and he already shows off a fastball-curve combination that has impressed scouts. He came out hot right out of the chute, firing his fastball up to 95 mph. While he’s more likely to sit low 90s right now, he throws downhill with some sink and it’s easy to dream on more consistent velocity. His curve is his best pitch currently, and he can throw it for strikes, though he’s also good at getting hitters to chase it out of the zone. It has power and depth to it and hitters don’t pick it up, looking like his fastball coming out of his hand before he snaps it off to the bottom of the zone.

Quinn doesn’t have much of a changeup at all currently, but some scouts feel with his solid delivery, arm speed and feel, he should be able to learn one at the next level. He’s committed to Ole Miss and might be tough to sign away from heading to school, but a team might be intrigued enough by his size and ceiling to take him in the top five rounds.

Quinn cracked Mississippi's weekend rotation as a freshman in 2023 but battled blister and oblique issues as a sophomore, posting a combined 7.35 ERA in his two seasons with the Rebels. He has found more success after transferring to Georgia, serving as a swingman and improving over the course of the season. A team that believes it can help him build on that progress could take him as early as the third or fourth round.

Quinn's mid-90s fastball peaks at 98 mph with armside run, and he can blow it past hitters up in the zone or throw it with downhill plane toward the knees to induce ground balls. His mid-80s slider features downer break and is his main putaway pitch. He has trouble landing his upper-70s curveball with even more depth and almost never uses a changeup.

The Bulldogs have helped Quinn settle down his delivery somewhat, though he still operates exclusively from the stretch and has merely fringy control. His 6-foot-6 frame and high three-quarters arm slot create a higher than usual release point. To succeed as a starter in pro ball, he'll need to continue to refine his strike-throwing and develop an offspeed pitch.
