Shoulder problems limited Ingrassia to 10 innings in two seasons at San Diego State before he transferred to Cal State Fullerton and became the Titans' closer in 2023. A 14th-round pick that July, he dominated in his 2024 pro debut, topping all Minor League pitchers who worked as many as his 58 1/3 innings in strikeout rate (40 percent) while finishing second in strikeout minus walk rate (31 percent) and compiling a 1.85 ERA. He missed six weeks in the second half of that season with elbow inflammation, then didn't pitch after April last season because of more shoulder woes, though he did return for the Arizona Fall League.

Ingrassia's fastball has below-average velocity, sitting at 91-94 mph and reaching 95, but it plays better than that because he operates from a low slot with crossfire and extension and creates plenty of carry, armside run and deception. He's throwing a harder, tighter slider in 2026, working with a mid-80s breaker and occasionally turning it into an upper-80s cutter. He produces a ton of fade on his mid-80s changeup, generating a lot of empty swings but also having difficulty landing it for strikes.

Ingrassia doesn't have a pretty delivery and throws with some effort, yet he generally throws strikes. He began his pro career as a reliever before earning an opportunity as a starter. His lack of size and durability probably will land him back in the bullpen, though he could move quickly in that role if he stays healthy.

He led all Minor League pitchers who worked as many as his 58 1/3 innings in strikeout rate (40 percent) while ranking second in strikeout minus walk rate (31 percent) and posted a 1.85 ERA.

Though Ingrassia's fastball sits at 91-93 mph and tops out at 95, it plays better than its below-average velocity because he throws from a low slot with crossfire and extension that create sink, horizontal action and deception. His low-80s slider has similar movement with more break and works as a back-foot pitch against right-handers. His best offering is a plus mid-80s changeup that fades in the opposite direction as his heater and slider.

Ingrassia throws with some effort and doesn't have the most picturesque delivery, yet he's able to trick hitters without costing himself control. He began 2024 as a reliever before getting stretched out as a starter, thriving in both roles but missing six weeks in July and August with elbow inflammation. His size and durability questions probably will land him in the bullpen, but he could move quickly in that role.

He recorded a 1.85 ERA while ranking second in the Minors (minimum: 50 innings) in strikeout percentage (39.6 percent) and third in strikeout minus walk percentage (31.1 percent).

Ingrassia's fastball parks at 91-93 mph and peaks at 95, but it plays better than its below-average velocity because he throws it from a low slot with crossfire that creates plenty of sink and horizontal action. His low-80s slider takes the same path but with more break and he's able to backfoot it against right-handers. His best offering is his mid-80s changeup, which fades in the opposite direction.

Ingrassia is able to create deception while providing consistent strikes. He spent the first six weeks of last season as a reliever before the Red Sox began stretching him out as a starter, and while he continued to dominate, he missed six weeks with elbow inflammation. He's probably more middle reliever than back-of-the-rotation starter, but he definitely opened eyes in his first taste of pro ball.
