Made is yet another intriguing shortstop prospect in this year’s class and has a chance to make an immediate impact on the organization that signs him. The switch-hitting infielder has above-average power potential from both sides of the plate and has a good feel for the strike zone. In the batter’s box, he has a slightly upward swinging motion and uses it to hit the ball hard into the gaps. He also shows flashes of home run power.
Physically, Made has a lean body with room to pack on more muscle and strength as he matures and his body develops. Given his soft hands and good footwork, Made is recognized as an emerging defender with plus arm potential. His quickness and natural instincts give him a chance to be a difference-maker defensively in large part because he can make the routine and extraordinary plays.
Made trains in the Dominican Republic with Basilio Vizcaino, a member of MLB’s Trainer Partnership Program.

Ranked as MLB Pipeline’s No. 22 international prospect in 2024, Made wasn’t Milwaukee’s biggest signing of the class nor was he even a seven-figure signing after joining the organization for $950,000. But one year later, he’s proven himself to be one of the best prospects in all of baseball. The switch-hitting infielder was a Dominican Summer League All-Star in his first taste of the pros and finished with a .331/.458/.554 line, six homers, 28 steals and an astounding 28/39 K/BB ratio in 51 games.
Made’s underlying data made him really pop across the industry. He ran just a 15 percent chase rate and made contact on 89 percent of his swings, cementing his special plate discipline status. It’s one thing to make good swing decisions and another to pack some punch behind the hacks. Made did that too with a 47 percent hard-hit rate and 103.9 mph 90th-percentile exit velocity; the latter of which would put him in Jazz Chisholm Jr. and José Ramírez territory right now. And he did this at just 17 years old. Starting with a front foot slightly turned backward, Made can look like a spring unloading on contact, though the vast majority of his looks came from the left side in ’24.
Defensively, Made – an above-average runner – got the lion’s share of his work at short but also saw time at third and second. His plus arm strength is a fit at the hot corner, and at this early stage, it’s still possible he slides over there full time down the line. For now, Milwaukee wants Made getting every opportunity to stick at the six and that would add another level to his already considerable ceiling, even with all the caveats of youth thrown in.

Milwaukee added to its shortstop depth last January with a pair of MLB Pipeline’s Top 25 international prospects in the 2024 class. Jorge Quintana (No. 12) was given the highest bonus at $1.2 million, and coming up right behind him was Made (No. 22), who signed for $950,000. The 17-year-old absolutely took off in his first taste of pro ball and was named a Dominican Summer League midseason and end-of-season All-Star for his efforts. He hit .331/.458/.554 with six homers, 28 steals, 28 strikeouts and 39 walks in 51 games.
Made, a switch-hitter, entered the Minors with a power-over-hit profile, so he raised a few eyebrows with his discipline and approach in the DSL. He ranked among the top five percent in the circuit in contact rate and chase rate, allowing that pop to play with a hard-hit percentage of 47 and a 90th-percentile exit velocity of 103.9 (equal to Jazz Chisholm Jr. and José Ramírez in the same category in the Majors). Considering Made still doesn’t turn 18 until May, there could be more power where that came from, especially if his swing decisions hold.
Made has a strong arm that's his best defensive asset to this point. The Brewers have given him ample time at both shortstop and third base (and even some looks at second) to find him a defensive home. His above-average speed, which allows him to be aggressive on the basepaths, may fit up the middle, but his throwing arm fits best on the left side of the dirt. The Crew has seen Jackson Chourio and Yophery Rodriguez use solid DSL performances to leap quickly up the chain, and Made could follow a similar path.
