Dreiling served in a platoon role as a Tennessee freshman before starring for the 2024 national champions, earning most outstanding player honors at the College World Series after homering in all three games in the finals. One of the top sophomore-eligible prospects in the 2024 Draft, he signed for $1,287,600 in the second round. The Rangers sent him straight to High-A for his pro debut and back there for his first full season, and he slashed a combined .221/.323/.354 with 13 homers and 20 steals in 134 games.

Those numbers belie Dreiling's offensive ability, because he's a left-handed hitter with a sound approach, bat-to-ball skills and plus raw power. He has made good swing decisions and consistent contact against all types of pitches in High-A without the production to show for it. He has shown the ability to work counts to draw walks as well as to elevate balls to his pull side when given the opportunity.

An average runner who will flash a bit more speed once he gets going, Dreiling can steal a few bases but more with savvy than quickness. Primarily a left fielder at Tennessee, he has spent much of his pro career in center but lacks the range to play there long term. His below-average arm strength will relegate him to left field, where he's a decent defender.

He played well in a platoon role as a Tennessee freshman and starred as an everyday player for the 2024 national champions, earning Most Outstanding Player accolades at the Men's College World Series after homering in all three games in the final round. Signed for $1,287,600 as a sophomore in the second round, he started his pro career at High-A.

The lefty-hitting Dreiling stands out most with his plus raw power, the product of bat speed, strength and an aptitude for driving balls in the air to his pull side. He's also a fairly well-rounded hitter who makes hard contact to all fields while managing the strike zone well and drawing walks. After going 0-for-16 against southpaws as a freshman, he made adjustments and slashed .398/.491/.739 against them as a sophomore.

While Dreiling has solid-to-plus speed once underway, he doesn't have great instincts on the bases or in the outfield. He was rough defensively when he got to Tennessee and spent most of his freshman year at DH. He improved in 2024 and can become an average left fielder with a below-average arm, but there's little chance he'll stay in center after spending his pro debut there.
