Georgia high school pitching usually produces a first-round candidate or two but hasn't lived up to those standards in the past three Drafts. The best of this year's crop, Livingston has a quick arm and present and projectable velocity that could get him picked as early as the third round.
Livingston can sit at 92-94 mph and touch 96 with his fastball, though he favors a sinking two-seamer that doesn't miss as many bats as his riding four-seamer does. He hasn't had much need for it yet but flashes an effective changeup in the low 80s. The biggest concern is his inconsistent feel for spin, and he struggles to land his low-80s slider and upper-70s curveball.
At 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Livingston has an extremely projectable frame and some scouts believe he could throw 100 mph once he matures physically. The Georgia recruit generates velocity with arm speed and an athletic delivery that should lend itself to average control. He also offers some intriguing right-handed power and didn't crack the Hebron Christian HS (Dacula) rotation until this spring, so he could get considerably better as he gains more experience.

Livingston didn’t crack the Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, Ga.) rotation until his senior year, but he had a lot of interesting traits, including a quick arm, good present velocity and a projectable body at 6-foot-4. The D-backs selected him in the fourth round of the 2025 Draft and signed him away from a Georgia commitment with a $1 million bonus, thus making Livingston the highest-selected prep pitcher from the Peach State since Dylan Lesko went 15th overall in 2022.
The big right-hander showed he could sit 92-94 during his final spring as an amateur, and he showed two fastball looks in his four-seamer and two-seamer. He could be higher than that velo in some outings, and it was encouraging when he sat in the mid 90s and touched 97.6 at the Draft Combine in, of all places, Arizona. His feel for spin wasn’t always consistent, but his low-80s slider was ahead of his upper-70s curveball as a potential weapon. He also showed a low-80s changeup that could be effective as a pro.
Livingston has added nice strength since signing, and that’s promising because some evaluators believed he was a future 100 mph candidate in high school. His athletic delivery looks like one that should bring at least average control and keep walks from holding him back. He’ll get plenty of runway as a starter in his new organization, and finding an above-average pitch to pair with the fastball will be a deciding factor in his future role.

The best of this year's crop, Livingston has a quick arm and present and projectable velocity, and that helped him go to the D-backs in the fourth round. Speaking some to his ability and his Georgia commitment, he signed for above slot at $1 million.
