Davidson began his college career at Guilford Tech (N.C.) JC in 2021 before taking the next year off and resurfacing at Caldwell (N.C.) CC, where he batted .412/.508/.876 with 16 homers as a sophomore in 2023. Giants part-time scout Paul Faulk signed him for $50,000 as a nondrafted free agent that summer out of the Coastal Plains League, and he quickly blossomed into one of the system's best prospects. He earned all-star accolades in the High-A Northwest League last year and slashed .281/.376/.468 with 18 homers and 19 steals in 114 games between that level and Double-A.
Davidson features plus raw power and improved his ability to tap into it in 2025, turning on more pitches and driving them in the air more often. His quick left-handed stroke and feel for hitting have enabled him to make an easy transition to handling pro pitching despite his limited amateur experience against quality competition. He consistently hits the ball hard, and while he misses in-zone fastballs more than he should, he doesn't strike out excessively.
Davidson has one of the best power/speed combinations in the system but has yet to make the most of his above-average wheels on the bases and in center field. After playing mostly left field in his first two pro seasons, he spent all of 2025 in center, where he's an average defender who's still refining his instincts. He's more solid on the corners with arm strength to match.

In 2023, Giants part-time scout Paul Faulk signed two nondrafted free agents out of the summer Coastal Plains League who quickly blossomed into two of the organization's best prospects: Davidson for $50,000 and right-hander Trent Harris for $10,000. Davidson began his college career at Guilford Tech (N.C.) JC in 2021, took the next year off and then slashed .412/.508/.876 with 16 homers at Caldwell (N.C.) CC as a sophomore. A hamstring injury cost him the first half of his first full pro season but he recovered to post the best batting line in the Single-A California League (.328/.438/.608, 173 wRC+) before acquitting himself well in the Arizona Fall League.
Davidson offers one of the best combinations of raw power and speed among Giants farmhands, grading as plus in both categories. He won't fully tap into his pop until he starts turning on more pitches and lifting them more frequently, but he has the bat speed and strength to hit 20 or more homers per season. He could be one of the best pure hitters in the system, as he has a sound left-handed swing and a fairly disciplined approach that allowed him to handle southpaws and all types of pitches in Single-A despite his inexperience.
Davidson is still refining his instincts on the bases and in the field but has the quickness to become a 20-20 center fielder. Though he played mostly left field at San Jose last year in deference to speedster Jonah Cox, he's capable in center and will see more time there in 2025. His solid arm strength fits anywhere in the outfield and helped him record nine assists in 58 games last summer.

Hudson, N.C., has been very good to the Giants, producing South Caldwell HS left-hander Madison Bumgarner, who helped the franchise win three World Series championships. The tiny town also is the home of Caldwell CC, where Davidson batted .412/.508/.876 with 16 homers as a sophomore in 2023. He went undrafted but the Giants signed him for a $50,000 as a free agent out of the summer Coastal Plain League.
Davidson features one of the best power/speed combinations in the system. His strength and sound left-handed swing produce plus raw pop, though he's still figuring how to tap into it by pulling more pitches and driving them in the air consistently. Likewise, he's in the process of learning to make the most of his plus speed on the bases and on defense, spending most of his first full pro season in left field.
Though he hasn't faced a lot of advanced pitching, Davidson has made a decent amount of contact against Single-A competition and handled himself well in brief exposure to pro southpaws. He has 20-20 potential and the wheels to chase down balls in center field once he refines his instincts. If he winds up on a corner, his solid arm strength would play well in right field.
