Beidelschies served as Ohio State's closer and earned Cape Cod League all-star honors as a freshman in 2023, then became the Buckeyes' No. 1 starter last spring. He transferred to Arkansas, joining one of the deepest pitching staffs in college baseball. He struggled in Southeastern Conference play and pitched his way out of the rotation by season's end, but he still could factor in the top five rounds.
After operating with a mid-90s fastball during fall practice, Beidelschies settled back into his normal 92-94 mph velocity and peaked at 96 this spring, showing the ability to get some swings and misses with armside run up in the zone. His 83-85 mph slider has tremendous depth and can overmatch left-handers when it's on. His mid-80s changeup lacks reliability but features fade and tumble at its best.
Beidelschies has a strong 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame but will need to be diligent with his conditioning. He repeats his short-arm delivery and provides strikes but needs to improve his command because his fastball and slider get hit when he catches too much of the plate. He profiles as a back-of-the-rotation starter or middle reliever unless he can regain the velocity he showed in the fall and find more consistency.

After racking up seven saves as Ohio State’s closer as a freshman, then being named a Cape Cod League All-Star in 2023, Beidelschies led the Buckeyes’ rotation as a sophomore. A transfer to Arkansas didn’t go well from a results perspective, as the left-hander lost his spot in the Razorbacks’ rotation. Once considered a potential top-five round pick, Beidelschies went in the sixth round in the 2025 Draft, signing for just under $300,000, a little below slot.
With a potential three-pitch mix, Beidelschies does have the ingredients to start at the next level. His fastball sat in the 92-94 mph range with Arkansas and topped out at 96, occasionally missing bats with armside run up. He can throw his 83-85 mph slider with a lot of depth, a pitch he uses a lot against left-handed hitters. He has a mid-80s changeup that isn’t as consistent, but it has good fade and tumble when it’s on.
There’s some hope that the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Beidelschies might have some untapped velocity and stuff to come as he gets pro instruction, strength and conditioning, and he was up into the mid 90s during fall practice with the Razorbacks. He repeats his short-armed delivery and fills up the strike zone, though it’s more control over command. His ceiling is probably as a back-end starter.
