Keaschall spent his first two seasons of college at the University of San Francisco, posting a .916 OPS as a mainstay in the Dons' lineup and infield. He has also spent two summers showing off his offensive skills and defensive versatility with Orleans in the Cape Cod League. After entering the transfer portal and moving to Arizona State, he's showing scouts what he can do in a bigger conference.
A right-handed hitter, Keaschall has shown a good feel to hit throughout his college career and on the Cape. He makes a ton of contact and doesn't panic with two strikes, with a solid approach that helped him walk as much as he struck out in his first two years at San Francisco, something that's continued this spring. He started to tap into his power a bit as a sophomore and hit five homers on the Cape last summer, but he's definitely hit-over-power with perhaps average future pop at best.
Keaschall can run a little and is aggressive on the basepaths. The big question is where he profiles best defensively. He played shortstop exclusively as a sophomore, but has played second base since moving to ASU, as he doesn't have the arm to handle short long-term. He's also seen time in the outfield on the Cape, but he might best fit as an offensive-minded second-base type at the next level.

After two seasons at the University of San Francisco, and two solid summers with Orleans in the Cape Cod League, Keaschall entered the transfer portal and landed at Arizona State for his junior season in 2023. His 1.168 OPS, 18 homers and 18 steals helped him land in the second round of the Draft, where he signed with the Twins for a just-under-slot bonus of $1.5 million. He had a solid pro debut that saw him touch High-A at the end of the year, then turned in a terrific first full season that saw him reach Double-A and play in the Futures Game before he was shut down in August to have Tommy John surgery so he could be ready to swing the bat again at the start of 2025.
Keaschall has a long amateur résumé of having a feel for the barrel, both in college and with a wood bat in his hands on the Cape. He left college with a strikeout rate under 11 percent while walking nearly as much, and he’s kept those trends during his brief pro career. He has a very solid approach and is a good two-strike hitter. The power really started to show up in Arizona, but while he should have extra-base authority at this level, he's likely to be a hit-over-power type of right-handed hitter.
With above-average speed and good instincts, Keaschall can turn his on-base skills to extra bases by stealing some bags, and his athleticism is an asset defensively, though it hasn't been totally clear where he'll profile long-term. He went to Driveline during the offseason to work on his arm action, with very encouraging results. He played second base exclusively at ASU, and that's mostly where he saw time during his debut, and he started seeing time in center field as well.
