along with how those players performed on their birthdays and how those statistics compared to their performance
on all other days. The Birthday Index is a stat that combines both wOBA on a player's birthday as
compared to other dates, and the number of plate appearances he has had on his birthday. Only players with birthdays
during the baseball season will appear in this table, which includes birthdays dating back to 1969.
This table only shows data for players who have recorded stats while playing on their birthdays. That means players with
offseason birthdays do not appear. The earliest birthday in the database is March 22, while the latest is Nov. 1.
Sarah's birthday is May 2, which she shares with, among others, Luis Torrens, Jonathan Villar and Jarrod Saltalamacchia.
