Two years after producing a first-round pick in Daniel Espino, Georgia Premier Academy has two more draftable pitchers in Bratt and Erian Rodriguez. A Canadian who came south for his senior season, Bratt is a projectable left-hander who won't turn 18 until a week before the Draft. He impressed pitching against older competition in the inaugural season of the MLB Draft League. 

Bratt attacks hitters with an 88-90 mph fastball that tops out at 92 but works because it has good carry at the top of strike zone and he commands it well. He shows promising feel for spin with a mid-70s curveball that should become a solid pitch once he adds more strength. He also displays aptitude for throwing a low-80s changeup with depth, though it can get too firm at times. 

Bratt has an efficient delivery with little effort and repeats it well, allowing him to throw strikes with all of his offerings. The Florida State recruit stands out with his mound presence and has a higher floor than a typical prep pitcher. He could become a No. 4 starter if his stuff picks up as he physically matures.

Because pandemic restrictions made it difficult to scout Canadian high school prospects, Bratt left suburban Toronto and spent his senior season at the Georgia Premier Academy (Statesboro, Ga.). He pitched well there and against older competition in the inaugural season of the MLB Draft League, earning a well-over-slot $850,000 bonus in the fifth round in 2021. He was the youngest regular starter in the Single-A Carolina and High-A South Atlantic Leagues the past two seasons, as well as the youngest player (age 19) on Canada's 2023 World Baseball Classic team. 

Though his fastball sits in the low-90s and reaches 95 mph, it worked well against Class A hitters because it has carry and he can spot it where he wants. He added a 78-82 mph sweeper during instructional league in 2022 and it became his primary breaking ball last summer, when he pretty much scrapped his soft mid-70s curveball. His low-80s changeup features depth as well and gives him a third average offering. 

Bratt's advanced feel for pitching, intelligence and mound presence stand out more than his arsenal. He pounds the strike zone with a low-effort delivery and has a knack for reading hitters' swings and figuring out how to get outs. He has a high floor as a back-of-the-rotation piece but he has to prove that his stuff will play against higher-level hitters and that he can handle a full season's workload after missing six weeks last summer with a lat strain.

Bratt enjoys a lot of success pitching off of a low-90s fastball that reached 95 mph and plays better than its velocity thanks to its carry up in the zone and his ability to command it. All of his stuff grades as average at the moment, with some debate as to whether his mid-70s curveball or his low-80s changeup, both of which feature depth, is his best secondary pitch. He made encouraging progress with a low-80s slider he added during the instructional league last offseason. 

Bratt's delivery has little effort and he repeats it well, throwing strikes with all four of his offerings. He's cerebral and extremely advanced for his age, but he gets outs with his fastball at the expense of using the rest of his arsenal, and he'll need to employ those offerings more often to refine them. With his projectable stuff, feel for pitching and mound presence, he has the look of a future No. 4 starter.
